In HubSpot, contact eligibility refers to the status or classification of a contact's email address based on past email delivery performance. When HubSpot sends emails on your behalf, it monitors the delivery status of each email. If an email bounces (i.e., cannot be delivered), HubSpot receives a bounceback message from the recipient's email server. This bounceback message contains valuable information explaining why the email bounced. HubSpot has developed a framework for categorising these bounce messages to classify a contact's eligibility status.
