Previously you had to have a paid sales seat to access email templates and snippets settings. These new features let you setup templates and snippets (but not use them) without a paid seat.
Access Required
Users with new Templates permissions feature on, can create, edit, and delete templates.
But, the restriction to use the first five templates created in the account still apply.
This means that if a free user is added to an account where five or more templates have already been created, that free user will be able to view and use only those first five templates. If there are no templates in the account, the free user can create up to five templates total.
You can view the total number of templates that have already been created in your account in the top right corner on the templates dashboard.
What are Paid Seats in HubSpot?
If you have Account Access permissions in a HubSpot Sales Hub account, you can give other users access to the paid sales features included in your subscription.
Each time you give access to a user, you are assigning one seat. If users in accounts with paid Sales Hub subscriptions have not been assigned a seat, they will not have access to paid subscription features.
You can add more seats to your account on a per-user basis.
What happens if I change the number of seats in my Sales subscription?
If you add a seat to your HubSpot Sales Hub or Service Hub account, you will immediately be able to assign a user to the new seat. Your account will be billed at a prorated amount on your next bill date.
For example, you are billed on the 15th of every month for a total of 5 paid users and on the 7th of the month you buy an additional seat. For that billing period, you will pay a prorated cost from the 7th-15th for the additional seat, along with the normal rate of the 5 users.
If you remove a user's access to the paid tools, the seat will still exist for your flexibility of use and you will continue to pay for the seat. Go here to find out how to assign a Sales Hub seat HubSpot.
To stop paying for the seat and delete the seat during your renewal process, ensure you reach out to your HubSpot customer success manager to inform them.
